A very warm welcome to the Year 6 class page! We are so excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to get started on the amazing topics we have planned. We know our Year 6 pupils will throw themselves into their learning with enthusiasm and curiosity, and we’re looking forward to seeing all the wonderful achievements along the way.

This page is where you’ll find key information about the learning planned for the year, so please check back regularly to stay up to date.

Don’t forget that we also have our Class Dojo account, where you can view daily and weekly updates that showcase our learning in action. You can also message the Year 6 teachers directly on Class Dojo if you have any questions or concerns.

We’re looking forward to a fantastic year together!

Year 6 Learning

Class 6 have been bursting with enthusiasm this week as they created their own YouTube‑style transcripts, designed to persuade us all to take action on climate change.

Pupils researched issues close to their hearts and crafted powerful pieces of writing using emotive language, repetition, and cohesive devices to strengthen their message. They then performed their scripts to the class with confidence and passion.

We have been absolutely blown away by their hard work, creativity, and conviction. Amazing work, Year 6!

January 2026
Our Year 6 pupils immersed themselves in VE Day celebrations, discovering what life was like in 1945 and reflecting on the significance of this historic event. Lots of great teamwork, creativity and curiosity on display!

28.11.25 Please enjoy listening to our absolutely amazing, emotive War Poetry. We could not be prouder.

11.9.25 Year 6 did a wonderful job of writing and delivering a rousing speech inspired by our History topic on World War 2. They considered tone, pace, repetition and emotive language when writing.
