Useful Websites www.phonicsplay.co.uk - here you will find some free games to help your child practice their blending, such as ;the 'Buried Treasure game' and 'Obb and Bob'. www.topmarks.co.uk - some more fun games to practice skills that we have learnt at school. www.ictgames.com - some more fun games to practice skills that we have learnt at school.
Please make sure your child is supervised when using these sites, to make sure that the adverts that may pop up are age appropriate!

Useful information Reception change their library books every Friday. Please make sure that your child returns their previous book before they choose a new one on the following Friday.
Our PE day is Wednesday, please ensure children come to school in their full PE kit on this day.

Reception Learning
September
The Reception children at Eastburn are already fully immersed into school life. They have had a fantastic first couple of weeks getting to know their new environment, we have met different adults throughout school and have also seen some of the spaces we may use throughout our time at Eastburn.
18th September 2025
This week we have had a lovely visit from Juliette and her friend Harrold the Giraffe. Juliette and Harrold came to visit us to talk about our bodies and how to keep ourselves healthy.
We discussed healthy food and drink, exercise, sleep and breathing, the children listened so well and shared some fantastic thoughts and ideas.
We also helped to place some organs in the correct place on our body and talked about the special jobs that they do.
Harrold the giraffe needed some help to look after his body so we helped him to get clean.
7th October 2025
Today we had a very exciting afternoon in Reception class. We have been working so hard with our phonics we thought we would have even more fun this afternoon with the parachute. We have; made waves, rolled balls, run underneath and even more a tent to sit under and sing songs.
